Amy Different, Owner

Dr. Amy Different highly recommends the SBDC to anyone thinking about starting a business, stating "The amount of information and support that is available from the SBDC is more valuable than any class about starting a business."

Dr. Amy graduated Parker University in 2013 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. She specializes in chiropractic services for families and individuals with neurodevelopment disorders. These are individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning disabilities. She provides chiropractic adjustments as well as neuro-sensory integration to help these individuals process and respond to their environment more appropriate.  Dr. Amy also provides chiropractic to the whole family. From infants to adults, all family members can reap the many benefits of chiropractic care.

Southern Life Chiropractic takes a holistic approach to health by improving gut health, improving sensory processing, decreasing pain, and improving overall health.  As a mobile part of Southern Life Chiropractic, Dr. Amy also put in additional hours to become efficient in chiropractic care for animals. She is a member of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, which is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to animal chiropractic care.

The SBDC was a crucial element in getting Southern Life Chiropractic off the ground and set up to become a successful business. Dr. Amy was referred to the SBDC by a colleague and friend. After the first meeting, she was very confident that the SBDC would guide her on the right track to success. The SBDC helped create Southern Life Chiropractic into an LLC, helped acquire the necessary documents that are required by the state of MS, helped Dr. Amy create financial plans and goals for the future. They also helped in acquiring all the necessary information to secure her Small Business Association loan. The guidance in this process was invaluable in the beginning stages of starting a business. Southern Life Chiropractic has been in business for over a year. The SBDC still regularly checks in on Dr. Amy and lets her know that ifthere is anything she needs, they are there for her.
